Howz releases platform upgrade for improved care decision making

Following extensive customer research over the summer and further development of our machine learning we released version 1.33 of the Howz platform at care.howz.com on Thursday 17th October.

This release is the first of a number planned over the next 3 months including cohort summaries, downloadable reports and customisable alerts.

New Routine analytics

The routine tab shows a user's overall pattern of activity and rest through time, flagging any changes in routine that should be investigated. This provides care providers with a quick and easy overview of the pattern of life to identify where they may need to focus.

The routine overview flags when a change has taken place;

Proactive care activities of daily living

A heatmap overview visualises a pattern of life across the time, displaying increases and decreases of activity around the home.

New Site Statistics

The new Site Statistics tab visualises activity trending through time.

The page shows increase and decrease of activity overall or in any one area, eg front door or bathroom. The visualisation is available for every part of the home.

Names of statistics have also been improved, statistics are now available for day, night or all day, the moving average has been replaced with the segment mean and the segments of the overall routine chart as another way of understanding the components of an overall change.

New Device Statistics

A device statistics tab visualises data through time for any individual sensor, with routine changes flagged.

Environmental data points such as light and temperature are also visible, along with device status information for engineers.

New sites page

A new sites page now has three tabs summarising sites by Activities of Daily Living, Day and Night Patterns and Hardware.  New filters have been added to these pages.

Navigation and labelling

The organisation tab on the left hand side has been removed. Users associated with multiple organisations can now change their organisation in the top right hand account button. Some of the tabs have been renamed on the individual site page so Status is now ADL (Activities of Daily Living), Day Plot is now Day, Dial Plot is now Week and Dot Plot is now Routine.
