Everon announces strategic partnership with Howz to enhance Assisted Living solutions
Howz is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Everon, the European leader in digital grouped living solutions. This collaboration, alongside Develco Products, IRIS-IoT, and Cair, aims to revolutionise the next generation of intelligent technology solutions in the health, housing, and social care sectors.
At the International Technology Enabled Care Conference (ITEC) 2024 in Birmingham, Everon unveiled these partnerships, positioning Howz and its technical partner Develco Products, as key players in developing advanced assisted living solutions. ITEC, the UK's premier event for assisted living technology, highlights the importance of innovation, knowledge, and action in transforming futures.
This partnership will focus on creating proactive care solutions to improve in-home care, reducing the need for care home placements and emergency admissions. By combining Everon's cutting-edge devices and sensors with Howz’s advanced machine learning and change detection technology, we aim to deliver unparalleled care insights, allowing for early issue detection and timely intervention.
Peter Kerly, Managing Director of Everon UK, emphasized the significance of these partnerships: “The strategic collaborations announced at ITEC 2024 are crucial for enabling independent living for longer. The health, housing, and social care sectors must adapt to the evolving landscape of assisted living.”
He further stated, “The King’s Fund report underscores the necessity for the health and care system in England to shift its focus from hospital care to primary and community services for sustainability and effectiveness. Our strategic partners are essential in responding to this need with solution-focused technologies.”
Kerly added, “Technology’s potential in delivering timely, appropriate interventions is yet to be fully realized. Our ambition, shared with our partners, is to harness assistive technology to empower independence, prevent accidents, and provide rapid emergency responses, ensuring people can choose to stay at home where they are happiest.”
Kate Fairhurst, Managing Director of Howz, said, “Howz and Everon are poised to bring the next generation of proactive care technology to assisted living providers. Our collaboration will ensure that clients receive critical care insights for early detection and intervention, significantly enhancing the quality of care.”
Fairhurst highlighted, “Our work with NHS Trusts and local authorities has shown that proactive home care can reduce care home admissions by 42% and emergency admissions by 32%. Together with Everon, we aim to provide users in assisted living with the technology necessary for maintaining longer, healthier lives at home.”
Rachel Bennett, Business Development Director UK at Develco Products, expressed, “We are delighted to collaborate with Everon and Howz to offer digital care solutions in the UK. Our joint efforts will enable vulnerable individuals to live safely at home, support earlier hospital discharges, and prevent hospital admissions.”
This partnership signifies a major step forward in proactive care technology, aiming to transform the landscape of assisted living and enhance the quality of life for many.
